West Richland

  • Town in Washington

Current Resident : I like the small town feel and the rural living but major shopping is just 10-15 minutes away. West Richland also has community music in one of the parks, a fall festival and a motorcycle rally all free to the community. I also like that the town is family oriented and has good schools and nice neighborhoods with little to no crime. I feel very safe and lucky to live in such a town. I would like to see more bussinessess in the town of West Richland and not in the neighboring town even though it's only 10-15 minutes away

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

Current Resident : My daughter and I have loved living here. Her middle and high school years were great and we were always met with helpfulness and kindness. We have been here 8 years (coming from NYC!). There has always been lots to do, parks to visit, close-by grocery shopping, neighbors and dogs to greet us. I really don't think there is a median age as people range from infancy to age 100. That's what makes this area so wonderful. It has gotten crowded over the years and traffic can be a hindrance. But we deal with it. You must be patient!

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

Niche User : With all the development going on, there's a lot of new money being put into the neighborhood which I think makes it safer and nicer looking

Matthews Beach

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

Niche User : If I had the option, I would choose to live here again. The weather is neither too cold nor too warm, and the utility companies are very quick to fix any broken water mains or downed power lines. The local officials are also very good at warning the citizens of incoming storms, and people everywhere are happy to help each other out in the case of a storm or other emergency. The quality of life here is also very good, for there is easy access to both local and commercial products via the farmers markets and supermarkets, and there is easy access to the working district downtown.

  • Town in Washington

Current Resident : Prosser is a perfect town for those who love to be involved in their community! It is close to large cities while having a family friendly atmosphere. The city and its members work together to provide a safe and welcoming environment to both residents and visitors.

  • Town in Washington

Current Resident : Since moving here I have met some of the best and nicest people! They aren't always the best drivers, and the myriad of roundabouts cause soem problems, but overall I love living here! There are so many cute and unique shops in uptown, and you find amazing food outside of the big chain restaurants.

  • Town in Washington

Niche User : It's a great neighborhood and the school system is very good. I would definitely live here again if my job permits. I see this town growing and turning into a large city.

Briarcliff

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

Parent : The area is booming and there is more and more opportunity here ( at least for the young). However ordinary middle class residents are becoming priced out of the local market.

View Ridge

  • Suburb of Seattle, WA

Current Resident : Sammamish isn't too large of a city but it has very friendly people. It's also big enough landmass wise that there's always a new park or neighborhood to explore. Schools are fantastic here as well. Sadly, there is a lot to do here because of its size, and although many of the youth are friendly, they can be very stuck up. Overall, it's a great community but it does face its problems, such as a number of snobs, drug use, etc. Crime, apart from drug use by many overprivileged youth, is pretty low. Sadly, it is also very expensive to live in Sammamish as well but very well worth it. Population is very multicultural and liberal on social issues.

  • Suburb in Washington

Current Resident : Camas is unarguably one of the safest places you can get. Every town has a "bad part" and I can safely say that there are no bad parts of Camas. Each neighborhood has its own individual personality and characteristics, but you really cannot go wrong when picking a place to live in Camas. There are unlimited resources for kids to play and participate in activities outside of school. Not to mention, the scenery is one that is hard to find anywhere else. If I could pick an ideal place to raise a family out of any town in the United States, I would still probably pick Camas.

  • Town in Washington

Niche User : I have loved growing up in Burbank. Burbank, Washington is far enough into the country to be a nice, comfortable, small town, while still being a half hour away from the next town. Growing up in Burbank has made me appreciate the quiet, love the stillness, and enjoy living in a small town. The atmosphere of my home town is very quiet and close-knit. Although there are many exciting and boisterous places that I could have grown up in, I wouldn't trade growing up in Burbank for anywhere else in the world.

  • Town in Washington

Nearby Resident : Redmond is a very central location with regards to the tech industry. Valve, Amazon, Microsoft, Monolith, and many other companies are less than a 30 minute drive away. The public transportation is very good as well. The 545 goes directly to downtown Seattle and from there, the Link goes to SeaTac airport and, with an Orca card, only costs $3.75 ($3.50 initial, $.25 transfer) one way! As a student on a budget, that is very cost effective.

Loyal Heights

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

Current Resident : I moved to Loyal Heights when I was 4 years old and have always loved the community. Located in Ballard, a neighborhood in northwest Seattle, I was always close to everything I needed, including great schools. One of the best parts of growing up in Loyal Heights was being raised in a big city, but still getting to have that "small town" feel.

  • Town in Washington

Current Resident : The small town feel makes you feel comfortable and safe. Its far enough away from cities but close enough if you need to drive to one. I enjoy supporting private owned businesses but would like to see someplace for our youth to hang out.

  • Town in Washington

Parent : The area we live in reminds new of a Norman Rockwell painting. Kids play outside. Neighbors are always friendly. People are always out walking, riding bikes or walking the dog. With everyone outside and aware there isn't much that goes on without everyone knowing so you don't see much crime.

Arbor Heights

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

Niche User : Its a nice and quiet neighborhood, but it also has no stores within walking distance which was hard growing up.

Snoqualmie

  • Town in Washington

Current Resident : I appreciate that Snoqualmie focuses on community activities and volunteering. Although, I wish that the Green City Planning techniques we use are actually environmental. there are so many cookie cutter homes and unnecessary lawns that use non-local plants and need fertilizers. Our new development is barely two stories high, with no residency above commercial use, and a lot of forest is torn down due to our lack of planning. Any trees taken down from now on should be for mixed development with apartments above. This would reduce our urban sprawl and meet the diverse demands of this vastly growing community.

  • Town in Washington

Former Resident : I thought that the application process was very simple and easy. everything was clearly explained and it was very easy to route by simply following the instructions. I would definitely recommend this program to another student.

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

Niche User : The crime and safety for this area's, I chose the rating as it shows on top of the box it's the best. This area I have been leaving for almost a year now, I have never hard a gun shot or anything else that has to do with crime. At night times when everyone go to sleep, you can't even hear a thing, even when your neighbors are having some difficulty with each other.

Harrison/Denny-Blaine

  • Neighborhood in Seattle, WA

  • Suburb of Seattle, WA

Niche User : I love the area. Overall it is pretty safe, which is important to me as a single woman. It is a very quaint area with many cute boutiques and specialty stores. But there is a lot more to there as well, from swimming at the state of the art pool to wandering through a corn maze. The people there are amazing! They all go out of their way to help someone's day be a little brighter. It truly an amazing community.
