How to Become a Real Estate Agent in Dubai

The very first thing you will need to become an agent in Dubai is a resident visa. To obtain a resident visa, you will either need to obtain sponsorship from an employer or from your spouse.

Once you have a residency visa you can apply for the RERA Agent Course online via this link:

The course for new agents is called Certified Training for Real Estate Brokers and the cost is AED 2,500. Payment must be made in person at the RERA Training Center located in the Dubai Land Department prior to your class date. On day of payment, you must bring with you your passport and visa copy and a copy of your class registration receipt which you will be able to print online. This is a 2 day, all day class which will be held at the RERA Training Center.

RERA has made it mandatory for property agents in Dubai to pass an exam to obtain a Dubai real estate license. This test will take place the next day after the 2 day course. In addition, real estate agents in Dubai must take the RERA exam yearly and pass with a score of at least 85% to renew their licenses. The cost of the renewal exam is AED 700 and must be taken one month before the license expires.
